Rose Marie Burgess, 37, of Morehead City, jailed in lieu of $200,000 bail with additional charges pending, crying her way through her first hearing in District Court, Monday morning. She's alleged to have tried to run down New Bern Police while leading officers from Trent Woods, Carteret County sheriff’s deputies and N.C. State Police on an hour-long car chase through Trent Woods and parts of New Bern.
